Has anyone just run the drain pipe into floor.
Can pedestal sinks have a drain in the floor.
Floor sinks are usually used where equipment drains require an air gap like commercial restaurant appliances.
Most pedestal sinks are designed to be centered directly over the drain pipe in the wall with the water pipes flanking the drain.
I don t want to cut into wall and want a pedestal sink.
If you attempt this project be prepared to have to relocate either or both the supply lines and drain.

I know you will see it but you see everything half way down and into the wall when you plumb that way anyway.
If you don t want the sink to be directly in front of the existing drain location you ll have to cut the drain pipe and install fittings to reroute it to the desired location.
In conclusion no one can really tell you whether or not a pedestal sink is a right fit for you.
