Cant change heat to floor in my truck.
I won t change off defrost floor setting i replaced the blend door actuator and did not seem to help it my car has 56000 miles.

The two doors that governs flow between dash vents and defrost floor are mode door 1 and mode door 2 mode door 1.
I moved the linkage around a bit for the mode 2 door and the motor and i was able to obtain some heat on my side finally.
This door regulates air flow to either the dash vents or defrost floor.
When i put the selector on floor setting i can hear the door directing it to the floor open close and the fan running but nothing is coming out of the floor vents.
It s stuck in the vent position and can t shift to the floor position.
I will either do it myself or have a small repair shop do it.
Heater working but only blows out front vents.
The told me it was the defrost actuator and said it would cost 1100 to fix.

You need to see if the mode door actuator is.
Before replacing heater control unit it would only blow hot air from front vents with this replacement it will now change from cold to hot and the air flow pressure does change from the front vents when changing the setting dial but there is still no air at all to feet and defrost.
Prob cause i have dual climate but i was able to get enough of an opening that i do get some heat now and it will warm my feet up eventually where before not at all.
Passenger side always had floor heat i didn t understand that one at all why one side does n one doesnt lol.
