Caulk between the shower door and the edge of the enclosure last.
Caulk inside shower door track.
Recently the caulking failed on the lower door threshold and i now need do a re caulk job.
A little over 4 years ago we had a shower door installed in out master bath.
However i am wondering about one issue.
Adding caulk to the inside of an enclosure will prevent mold and mildew from growing within the areas where the enclosure is attached to the tub shower or walls.
Using a spackling spatula or a putty knife to slide in the gap between the tub and the shower door track to clean with bleach alcohol and then dry.
Ensure that any drainage holes around the doors are not blocked by the old caulk and then using a 100 silicon based caulk cover the outside of the shower doors frame.
Again caulk the vertical seams and corners first the horizontal seam along the back of the shower second and the horizontal seams on the sides of the shower third.
Jump in and clean up before dismantling the doors.
Replacing the caulk around your tub tiles shower door and drain is a relatively simple do it yourself fix that takes only a few hours from start to finish.
The original installer caulked the inside and outside of the shower door threshold but.
Add new caulkikng over the inside of the shower doors as needed taking care not to cover drainage holes and making sure that the caulk seals properly against the doors.
Move on to the next joint to be caulked and repeat the steps until you have caulked all of the shower joints.
Step 1 take a shower.
When properly applied caulk will assist the seals within the enclosure s frame to better control water from escaping to undesired areas.
Lay the tip of the caulk tube in the corner where the shower track meets the tub squeeze the trigger until caulk comes out of the tube and onto the joint then continue that same pressure as you.
To get the underside of the shower enclosure track without removing the track i would use a shop vac wet dry vacuum at the crack after removing the old caulking.
